We Will Rock You to close
Paris Las Vegas' wannabe hit musical We Will Rock You (the show with music by Queen) will close Nov. 27 after just over a year in residence, 500-some performances, and poor reviews.
With discounted tickets popping up and the show trimmed down to 90 minutes since the summer, its departure wasn't entirely unexpected.
Still, the PR juggernaut put a positive spin on its early departure by announcing a reopening in 2006 in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, South Africa, as well as Zurich, Switzerland.
Which means it doesn't look as if Broadway wants to touch it.
No word on what will take over the "intimate 1,450-seat venue" at Le Theatre des Arts, but you can bet it won't be another rock musical.
