Bobby Darin receives star on Las Vegas Walk of Stars

Yesterday, Bobby Darin was memorialized with the 19th star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars, located right outside the Flamingo.
Darin, who would have been 71 yesterday, performed often in Las Vegas, including the Flamingo (pictured above on a Flamingo promotional postcard).
His hits include "Mack the Knife," "Splish Splash," "Dream Lover," and "Beyond the Sea."
The Las Vegas Walk of Stars is a four-mile stretch of sidewalk on the east and west side of the Strip. Recent inductees include Sammy Davis, Jr., Siegfried & Roy, Rich Little, Liberace, and Wayne Newton, who sings his own rendition of Darin's "Danke Schoen."
The star is a three-foot square slab of polished granite weighing 180 pounds. Enough space is allocated for 3,000 stars.
