Van Halen cancels dates, set to return in Las Vegas
Whatever is ailing Eddie Van Halen has caused additional show cancellations for a total of 17 dates in the Midwest and East Coast that will need to be rescheduled.
Van Halen is currently suffering through a series of medical tests, though the band's promoter isn't revealing what types of tests they are.
The guitarist has recently gone through a hip replacement and tongue cancer, the latter of which was cleared in 2002.
With a stint in rehab last year for alcohol addiction, a relapse may have been the cause.
The tour, with David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen, and Wolfgang Van Halen, is expected to resume with the planned Las Vegas date of April 19 at Mandalay Bay, part of the annual Tiger Jam charity event.
