Binion's restores $1 million cash display

Binion's $1 million bucks is back!
Long a tradition from 1964 to 2000, $1 million in cash was displayed encased in glass for photo opportunities. Then it was removed when a coin collector purchased the case for an undisclosed amount of money (worth more than $1 million because of the rare $10,000 notes that were also part of the display).
Now the new owners of Binion's have restored the tradition, in the form of $100, $20, and $1 bills arranged in a pyramid.
The money is located next to the escalators heading toward the poker room and sits on top of a reinforced poker table.
Visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, when the loot is then locked up in a steel case (pictured above, when we arrived). If you've thought of heist possibilities, the case is left alone with no visible guards, but the trick is to get past the heavy camera security.
During the day, visitors are charged $20 for a photo with the cash, though that also comes with $25 in freeplay.
