Computer upgrade downs all of Boyd casinos
As we write this, all of Boyd Gaming's Las Vegas casinos' computers are down.
It began late last night, an upgrade to a new system, but currently it's been over 12 hours without signs of being finished.
The B-Connected staff assures us that slot machines are still tracking play, despite the LCD just saying "Good Luck" when inserting our card.
The club has had an unexpected free day of relaxing, assuming relaxing entails dealing with angry players who can't obtain any comps, freeplay, or use points for food. We suspect there could be a run of scammers charging food to rooms, as there's no way to verify.
Boyd properties include downtown casinos Fremont, Main Street, and California, plus Sam's Town, The Orleans, Gold Coast, and Suncoast.
