Wendeen H. Eolis Continues Online Poker Series
Wendeen H. Eolis
Wendeen H. Eolis delivers a current state of affairs concerning online poker with her latest in-depth study of the age old question, "Is poker a game of skill or luck?" Most of us poker players know the correct answer to this question; but, the official (and legal) decision remains in the hands of lawyers, judges and the federal court system.
"Poker After Dark" runs off remaining episodes
NBC's Poker after Dark going same way as NBC's Heads Up Poker?
The NBC series “Poker After Dark” is set to return on March 5.
But not with new episodes, just unaired episodes that were shot in December 2010.
Twenty-four shows featuring cash games and 6 shows featuring sit-n-gos will be run off on the NBC Sports Network over the next 5 weeks.
The series, featuring known poker players playing in Las Vegas, was always interesting and entertaining.
Wendeen H. Eolis pulls back the curtain with 'PokerStars: Walls Of Secrecy Tumble'
Wendeen Eolis, the "Grande Dame" of Poker, continues to uncover and untangle the web of legal and political maneuvers by major players in the online poker world. Step tournaments now at Tropicana poker room
For those with fond memories of ye olde online poker days of Step Tournaments (made popular by PokerStars and Full Tilt), the first land-based casino we know of in Las Vegas is now offering its own version.
Tropicana Las Vegas is trying out Step poker tournaments, where for a small amount of money, you can keep advancing as you win, ultimately ending at a $10,000 prize (which is conveniently the cost of a World Series of Poker Main Event seat). Along the way, if you don’t win but place, you’ll receive a tournament ticket to a lower Step.

New phone app gives live poker room updates
Available at Harrah's on the Las Vegas strip
Have you checked out BravoPokerLive?
We’ve been seeing the sign advertising it in more and more poker rooms around town, and we finally downloaded the app to our iPhone (it’s also available on Android).
It’s a marvelous tool to check in on your favorite poker room to see what and how many tables are running (it also lists tournament information). If you sync to your location, you’ll see how far away the nearest poker room is as well.
