Recently remodeled Tropicana Las Vegas
The new Tropicana poker room is all snazzy and comfortable (plus right next to the bar, so fast drink service), but whenever we've been by, there's only been one table running.
Trop is now trying to switch things up with special promotions, including a novel splash pot in a cash game that acts like a tournament.
Play any cash game for 15 hours between Nov. 21-27 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and you'll qualify.
Then come back and play a 3/6 limit cash game Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During that time, the number of pots you take down of $40 or more will be tallied. 1st receives $300, 2nd receives $200, 3rd receives $150, and 4th receives $100.
All other players will evenly split the remaining $750 in the pool.
Not bad, Trop! Kudos for thinking of something brand new that we haven't seen before. And who knows, maybe this will bring back limit poker (it'll certainly appeal to us locals who don't like risking everything on one hand).
