2011 Holiday Lights Glowing in Las Vegas

Polar Bears roam freely through Sam's Town indoor Mystic Falls

If there is one city in the world that probably doesn't need more lights it's Las Vegas.  The place is often referred to as the City of lights or the Neon in the Desert Oasis, so what's going on this weekend?  Lighting ceremonies all over town are adding millions of brightly colored lights to the already saturated luminous mix, so bright the astronauts on the space station can see Las Vegas from outer space.  (We've been unable to verify the rumor that the additional lights are visible from Mars).

We were there for the flipping of the switch at Sam's Town Indoor Park, Mystic Falls, thousands of lights strung through the forest of trees bathed the park in a rainbow of colors.  Sam's Town is only one of the many exhibits offered all over the town in celebration of the holidays.  We will be visiting most of them and offering photos in Flipchip's Photo Gallery. Look for the album, 2011 Holiday Lights in Las Vegas, as always download and use the photos free-of-charge per our Creative Commons License.
