JC Tran tried on the second WSOP bracelet of his professional poker career after winning Event #30 $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha. The always tough Tran even came back from a massive chip deficit after Jean-Philippe Leandro doubled through Tran during the early play. Staying with his game plan of aggression and table control allowed Tran to again regain the chip lead and go into the heads-up play with Jeff Kimber enjoying a 2-1 lead.
JC Tran has already cashed in two events this year and now he adds an additional $235,685 to the play bank plus a gold WSOP bracelet to his arm. He won his first WSOP gold during the 2008 WSOP. Jeff Kimber takes home $145,656 for his second place finish while Jean-Philippe Leandro settled for third and $95,837. Ross Boatman of Hendon Mob fame went out in fourth to pocket $66,936. The event attracted 436 players and offered a prize pool of $1,002,800 paid out to the top 45 runners.
