Southwest Airlines and The Palazzo Las Vegas have joined with the Armed Forces Foundation in a celebration of Armed Forces Day with "Salute Our Troops." Wounded warriors from military hospitals in Washington D.C. and San Antonio, Texas will be afforded red carpet treatment as they journey to Las Vegas on Southwest Airlines. A police escort will bring the guest to the The Palazzo Las Vegas luxury resort on the Vegas strip for a welcoming reception in the atrium gardens.
The 3 PM Friday, May 20 welcoming reception is open to the public and will take place in The Palazzo's atrium gardens.
The troops will enjoy The Palazzo’s posh accommodations and the following -- Las Vegas Strip tours, Blue Man Group at The Venetian and the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys, the ultimate sports fan at Lagasse’s Stadium, gourmet cookout hosted by Omaha Steaks at The Pools of The Palazzo, services at Canyon Ranch Spa Club and much more.
Sheldon Adelson, Chairman of Las Vegas Sands Corporation, owner of The Palazzo, is well noted for his support of our military and their families, especially the heros that have suffered injuries and disabilities above and beyond. We of LasVegasVegas salute all the troops that have placed country and freedoms above all else without regard to personal sacrifice. We wish for them a most wonderful visit to Las Vegas.
Many thanks to Sheldon Adelson and Southwest Airlines' Southwest Citizenship for providing this well deserved treat for these special veterans.
