Pro Poker Player Robbed at Bellagio

Scott Montgomery during happier times at the 2010 WSOP

Scott Montgomery, Professional poker player and WSOP bracelet winner, is reporting he was robbed at knife point in a restroom at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas on Monday.  Montgomery tweeted he gave the robber a couple of grand in cash from his wallet and the robber fled.  Read complete details at PokerNewsDaily.com

One of the original 2008 WSOP November Nine, Scott Montgomery finished 5th  to earn more then $3 million.  He won his first WSOP bracelet during the 2010 meet when he outlasted the field in event #36, $1,000 Buyin No-Limit Hold'em, and received $481,760.

Montgomery claimed he quickly notified Bellagio security and after a wait of more than fifteen minutes they finally showed at the alleged crime scene .  Of course, the bad guy, described as a young black man with a knife, was long gone with the cash.  Readers are reminded that 2004 WSOP Main Event champion, Greg Raymer, was robbed by two crooks in his guest room at the Bellagio.

Poker players are in town for the Bellagio's annual Festa al Lago poker tournament.
