Scott Montgomery during happier times at the 2010 WSOP
Scott Montgomery, Professional poker player and WSOP bracelet winner, is reporting he was robbed at knife point in a restroom at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas on Monday. One of the original 2008 WSOP November Nine, Scott Montgomery finished 5th to earn more then $3 million. He won his first WSOP bracelet during the 2010 meet when he outlasted the field in event #36, $1,000 Buyin No-Limit Hold'em, and received $481,760.
Montgomery claimed he quickly notified Bellagio security and after a wait of more than fifteen minutes they finally showed at the alleged crime scene . Of course, the bad guy, described as a young black man with a knife, was long gone with the cash. Readers are reminded that 2004 WSOP Main Event champion, Greg Raymer, was robbed by two crooks in his guest room at the Bellagio.
