The first day of four scheduled "First Days" for the 2006 Main Event began on Friday with a full house, literally. Poker players as far as the eye could see taking the first small steps toward the single most sought after prize in poker's long history, the WSOP World Championship.
Compared to the 2005 main event first day it went much smoother and with more players. Tournament Director Robert Daly and his team of people are to be commended. I was there with the cameras and offer some of my views of today's action at the big poker show. There were more than 2,000 players seated in today's matchups so needless to say I don't know most of the players by name; but, I'm going to post some photos because they are great poker faces that become a permanent part of the history of the WSOP.
