The "Big Poker Show" is now underway. Starting a half hour late, Jamie Gold gave the "Shuffle up and deal " command to put the cards in the hour. The roster for today's $5K Mixed Hold'em event is a who's who list of poker stars.
The playing cards designed especially for this year's WSOP were quickly replaced after players complained that they were to difficult to read (6's and 9's were almost impossible to discern) and resulted in hand misreads and players having to stand to read the flop. More later...
