Poker Room Review Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino

Las Vegas Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Poker Room Review
Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino

When the Rio opened in 1991 it instantly became the party place for the young hip crowd. Loud music, sexy dancing girls' riding light floats high above the casino floor, even a Rio Rita showgirl host and a Carnivale atmosphere. that will turn even the hardcore grouch into a smiling mover and shaker. Today's Rio Resort continues to cater to the young party crowd while pleasing the more mature guest.

Main Entrance to the Rio Resort

The Rio All Suite Hotel offers 2,500 guest suites with an extensive list of amenities. Over 600 square feet in each room, comfortable sofa and chairs, large screen TV, refrigerators, iron with board, wall safe, large well appointed bathrooms, separate dressing area, hair dryer, high speed Internet and the most spectacular views in town of the Las Vegas casino corridor. Book your accommodations on line for the best rate, guaranteed.

You don't come to Las Vegas to sit around in your luxurious suite so maybe a couple of relaxing hours at the fabulous Ipanema Beach tropical pool, actually five different pools and a real sand beach bordering a tropical lagoon, waterfalls and five Jacuzzi-style spas. There's also the Rio Spa and Salon, a full service facility that caters to the weary traveler with everything from a quick trim to a total rejuvenation and makeover.

Hot air baloon floats through the air over the Masquerade Village Casino

The famous Masquerade Village Show in the Sky is free, fun and happens numerous times every night. The legendary Las Vegas entertainment duo of Penn and Teller perform nightly in the Rio's showroom.

Take the time to sample the offerings from the dozen food outlets. Dine in sky-high elegance at the exotic VooDoo Café & Lounge, experience Hamada of Japan's exhibition cooking and sushi bar, enjoy fresh seafood at Buzio's Seafood Restaurant, and taste gourmet specialties of the Far East at Gaylord India Restaurant.

Rio guest can ride this Skyfloat high above the casino floor for a small fee

A romantic evening at Antonio's features gourmet Italian dishes. The Rio's famous award winning seafood buffet will have you coming back for more. Stop by the latest Rio restaurant, Café Martorano, for dining in a club atmosphere. Quick stop gourmet coffees are available at Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. And finally my favorite, the All American Bar & Grill, l featuring in-house aged steaks known for their sizzle plus the best burgers in town.

Rio Poker Room

Located next to the Rio Sports Book the new Rio Poker Room features 10 tables with shufflemasters in a spacious setting behind a sound damping glass wall. Big screen plasma displays ensure you will not miss any of the televised sports action. The room is managed by Jerome Stone. The Rio's poker room lives in the shadow of the legendary World Series of Poker so it strives to provide a signature poker playing experience. Poker players receive top recognition at the Rio and are welcomed into the comfortable room by the well trained, courtesy minded staff.

Rio Rita watching the poker action

Live poker is offered in $4-$8 Limit Hold'em, $1-$2 No-limit Hold'em with a $60-$200 buy-in, and $2-$5 No-limit Hold'em with a $100-$500 buy-in. Any game or limits will be dealt with enough interest. Most limit games have a half kill.

A No-limit Hold'em tournament is offered daily at Noon with a $60 buyin and a $40 add-on. Weekdays the popular tournament fills most of the tables and weekends it usually fills the room with an alternate list.

Food comps are offered at the standard Las Vegas rate of $1/hour of play and are tracked with your Total Rewards Player's Card. The comps are good in any of the food outlets at the Rio. Poker players may receive casino rate on hotel accommodations. Players may order food from a menu and have it served table side. Drink service is always free, fast and continuous. The easiest parking in town puts the room a few short steps from your vehicle.

Play in the only poker room in town that shares poker billing with the World Series of Poker. For complete details of promotions and tournaments or any question about poker at the Rio Resort phone the poker room direct at 702.777.7650.
