From Teuscher Chocolates--

More than 70 years ago in a small town in the Swiss Alps, a master chocolate maker embarked on a path that would make him one of the world's greatest chocolatiers.

Dolf thoroughly searched throughout the world to locate the finest cocoa, marzipan, fruits, nuts, and other ingredients and after years of experimenting, skillfully blended these into his now famous recipes.

Our kitchens in Zürich today make more than hundred varieties of chocolates using these original recipes which have now passed from father to son. In the tradition, the world's finest and most expensive natural ingredients are blended together using absolutely no chemicals, additives, or preservatives.

Sisley

Phone: 702.733.3083
Address: 3663 Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89109

Notes: Located at the Miracle Mile Shops in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino

A place, Paris, a date, 1968, and a Denim collection. That's how the story of the Sisley brand started, a brand that, year after year, has continued to offer a revolutionary way of dressing compared with the standards of the time, in perfect tune with the most avant-garde trends of the present and aimed exclusively at the young.

The encounter with Benetton occurred in 1974, when the Group, perceiving the potential, bought exclusive rights to use the name, but it was not until 1985 that Sisley took on its own personality within the Group. An independent creative and sales staff organisation was set up; a new image was born in terms of points of sale, product and advertising. 1996 marked another important stage in Sisley's history: the logo was changed from the gold-burgundy emblem that made the brand famous throughout the world, to a more elegant and refined logo, a white inscription on a black background.

Every season, Sisley launches men and women's collections whose basic objective is to be always on the same wavelength as those who follow fashion and keep themselves abreast of the trendiest tendencies. The collections, in fact, include sporty and casual wear, formal and elegant dresses - therefore an all-round offering for every moment of the day and for various needs- which interpret future trends, take in fashion crazes from all parts of the globe and leaves matching to individual tastes. Extremely up-to-date collections right down to details, to accessories, colours and to fabrics, which are combined to a refined style, with no overstatements.

With 850 points of sale throughout the world, Sisley represents an unmistakable fashion presence in the clothing world, and a recognisable way of dressing. Part of this uniqueness is due to the creativity of the design team, a true workshop of imagination and innovation. Sisley designers are attentive to what is fashionable or will be fashionable tomorrow. They are receptive to the stimuli communicated by top world fashion designers and are sensitive to the phenomena that attract the younger generations. Yet creativity and imagination do not exclude precise commercial choices aimed at achieving an excellent quality-price relationship, which means continuous research and development in the textile sector and in new technologies applied in it.

Another indisputable factor for the success of the brand throughout the world is its advertising campaigns. It is well known how much emphasis is placed on communication within the Group, to convey a promotional message whose objective is not only to sell a product. Also it aims at creating an image and a life style differentiate certain individuals from the crowd. It could not be otherwise, not even for Sisley, even though the latter has chosen a different strategic approach. No controversial campaign with a moral tone and social criticism, as those of Benetton. Rather, they create a possible reality, a fiction which customers dream about, but one in which they can identify and recognise themselves.

That's how the Sisley Travellers' Diary was created which, over the years, is evolving in terms of settings, contents and aesthetics. From adventurous destinations such as Canada, New Zealand, Morocco and Brazil to metropolis such as New York, Los Angeles, London and Venice and to more intimate and inward journeys, in which the setting offer the opportunity to talk about feelings, fantasies or even just moments of normal life. From the first and unforgettable Sisley Diaries, based on the UP SIDE DOWN concept - i.e. printed upside down on the back cover and often also on the last two or three pages of the magazine- to the truly independent books, which have now become collectors' items, some featuring brief, jotted travel notes. Others had no text to hint, to imagine or give an insight into the private lives of the players.

From the Vladimir Kush website--

Vladimir Kush
My American odyssey.

I was born in Russia, in small one-storeyed wooden house on the northern edge of Moscow, near the forest-park Sokolniki where in patriarchial times Russian Tsars were engaged in falconry.

My career as an artist began when I was a child of 3 or 4.

My father was a scientist, but everyone on his side of the family used to draw all the time. I remember, how in the long winter evenings I used to sit on my father's lap finishing his drawings: boy running on skis, an old man walking by with the cane...

Just then came to me the sensation of huge open spaces - I knew that beyond the nearby wood the snow-covered great Russian plain stretched on, unimpeded, for thousands of kilometers. And I conceived a dream to absorb the space into myself, to reach the edge of the earth- in the north, where the White Sea begins, or on the south, where Black Sea - Pontus Euxinus of Ancient Greeks - laps the steppes.

At the age of 7, I attended two schools, The first half of the day I went to regular high school. The second half was spent in the art classes until 9 p.m. While riding the subway for one and a half hours each way, I did my home-work for the regular school.

Art school was a world of a new inspiration. The class I attended allowed total artistic freedom. I learned much about the famous Renaissance painters, impressionists, post-impressionists, and contemporary artists. Here I painted my first surreal picture.

When I was 17, I took difficult exams and entered Moscow Art Institute.

When I was 18, I entered into a mandatory two-year stint of military service. After six months of infantry training, the commander of my unit decided that better use could be made of me painting murals and big canvases. Of course, I had to include military elements in these romantic or even fantastic landscapes. In one of those paintings, a radio transmitter was put on top of iceberg in the middle of an ocean.

In 1987, I began selling my paintings and exhibiting with the Union of Artists. At that time, I was invited to paint a series of portraits for the U.S. Embassy staff. I eventually had to curtail my work on these portraits after the KGB became suspicious of my involvement with Americans.

My father's influence at that time was enormous. He said that in ancient Greeve, art and math were considered alike. A mathematician, my father taught me that the plot of a painting must be like a code for solving a task, and as such, must crystal clear to capture the essence of a subject.

I had a successful show in Germany in 1990 with two other Russian Artists. I then flew to Los Angeles, where I had sent 20 of my recent works for a showing. This was a beginning of my American odyssey.

The dream about the wanderings across the wide open spaces, eventually brought me to the Hawaiian island of Maui - the World Navel, there the infinity of Great Ocean merges into the infinity of bottomless Cosmos. The "umbilical cord" connecting these open spaces, could be seen from windows of my shouse- it is a super-telescope through which the mankind for the first time saw the most ancient spots of our universe- places where drops of space condensing, turn into drops of time...

From H2O Plus--

It's water, but it's so much more. It's the thrill ou had when you were seven and played "Marco Polo" in the deep end. It's the roar of the ocean at night. It's blue. It's mysterious, deep, and wet. It's where you wish you were going. It's personal, comforting, serene.

Water is universal. In it, we begin our lives, take our first breath, see our reflection. It replenishes our body and soul, bringing balance and harmony. It reflects our emotions, through tears and laughter, the sweat on our brow. Water is fundamental. It sustains and revitalizes all living things. It is the essential element to healthy skin. It is the heart of what we do.

"Truly fine chocolates have several characteristics in common: they are always fresh, contain high quality ingredients like premium cocoa beans and dairy butter, are usually less sweet and feature unusual textures and natural flavors. There is an Erwin Pearl. Born in Vienna, Austria, Erwin Pearl came to the United States as a young boy. He soon became a leading designer of fine jewelry, even winning the prestigious Diamond International Award for five consecutive years. However, the challenge of designing pieces accessible to a wider audience led him into fashion jewelry.

The entire process of creating Erwin Pearl jewelry begins at one of several factories. The Armbrust and Kunzman chain divisions have been producing quality fashion pieces for over fifty years, making Erwin Pearl the only major jewelry manufacturer and wholesaler which retains its own chain factory, allowing for the best possible control over quality and production.

With more than six hundred and fifty chain machines (the largest chain capacity in the world), Erwin Pearl also produces sterling silver and gold filled lines, which are marketed worldwide.

Our design and tooling capabilities produce unique and exclusive styling unequaled anywhere in the world.

At this Rhode Island factory, the machinery is a combination of the most advanced technology and old world craftsmanship. Shown at the left is a section of an automatic chain machine. After the pieces have been created, they are individually checked by
hand for flexibility and drape.

Twenty minutes away from Kunzman is Fernando Originals, another mainstay of the Erwin Pearl production process. There, pieces such as pins and earrings are created from the inception of design to the shipping of the finished product. At Fernando, the jewelry goes through a chain of processing which includes model making, moldmaking (1), rubber mold casting (2), vibratory finishing, electroplating, hand polishing (3), enameling, and stone setting. All pieces are inspected for quality and workmanship at each stage of the manufacturing process. As a result, Erwin Pearl's Fernando factory has earned a reputation on the world market as a manufacturer of fashion jewelry, marked by style creativity, and outstanding quality.

St. Croix's designers scout out the finest raw materials and latest fashions on an international level, combining them to create garments that are always stylish and meet the highest quality standards. St. Croix buys its wool directly from the people who raise the sheep, often sending the fiber around the world to be spun. Raw materials, including Australian Merino Wool, Pima Cotton, fine Tasmanian Lambswool, cashmere and vicuna are often bought well in advance of the season.

All St. Croix knitwear and outerwear garments are individually handcrafted in the United States and hand-finished to guarantee the highest standard of quality and fit. To ensure their exclusivity, only limited quantities of each garment are produced. The St. Croix collection also features a fully coordinated line of trousers, sport shirts and hosiery crafted to our exacting standards exclusively for us by the finest manufacturers in Italy.

St. Croix's unparalleled quality, craftsmanship, fit and design have earned recognition throughout the world. Each garment combines contemporary, up-to-date European styling with an American fit and color palette. Each uniquely patterned shirt, sweater and jacket is cut, looped and finished by hand to ensure that it is consistent with the unrivaled quality standards for which St. Croix has become well known. Each of the limited quantity designs is created with the upscale, discriminating buyer in mind.

From DNR--

LAS VEGAS -- Saltaire, founded just three years ago as a high-end casual men's wear brand, is opening retail stores and has launched a women's line.

The Seattle, Wash.-based company opened a 2,200-square-foot store at Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas on Aug. 25, and will open a 4,000-square-foot store at NorthPark Center in Dallas, later this month. Michael Black, president, said his company will open a third store in February 2008 at Aventura Mall in Miami.

"We wanted to open in only three key retail locations in the most highly visible malls in America," he said. "It's a visual marketing tool for us. It's a grassroots effort of building the brand from the ground up."

Black said the stores are designed to impact all five senses--sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. For example, all units will incorporate Saltaire's signature waterfall over a limestone background to satisfy the sight and sound components.

Touch is accomplished through the company's proprietary wet-processing treatment that gives Saltaire fabrics a luxurious hand. Through its recent partnership with Culti, an Italian line of fine spa and home products, Saltaire will reach customers' taste and smell. Customers can spray five different scents, including vanilla, citrus, evergreen and cinnamon, onto a cashmere scent sphere. Saltaire will also serve a daily fresh assortment of Italian cookies, provided by Culti, with tea, coffee and water. Black said Saltaire's partnership with Culti makes it the only retailer in the U.S. to carry the full line. A few boutiques and spas in the U.S. carry selected items.

The stores will all have generous fitting-room lounges and a well-trained staff. Said Black, "Incredible service will be a big part of the Saltaire experience."

Saltaire launched in 2004 to fill what the company saw as a void. "We felt the men's market was very underserved at retail [and needed] a fresh brand hitting all classifications that's casual and relaxed with a modern sensibility," he said. The brand is carried in 300 better men's specialty stores in the U.S., including John Craig, Pockets, and Garys, as well as resorts. The brand is targeted to men aged 35 to 65 "who want to look modern and have an updated wardrobe but who aren't in the same shape they were when they were 18," Black explained. "They want to look modern but be age-appropriate from a fit standpoint."

The new women's line, which was shipped to stores two weeks ago, is also for the 35-to-65 age group but it's more contemporary than the men's and is targeted to women who want to be fashion-relevant, Black said. It is being carried in Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus and specialty stores for fall.

Saks Fifth Avenue

Phone: 702.733.8300
Address: 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. So. Las Vegas, NV 89109

Notes: Located at the Fashion Show Mall

Saks Fifth Avenue was the brainchild of Horace Saks and Bernard Gimbel, who operated independent retail stores on New York's 34th Street at Herald Square in the early 1900s. Their dream was to construct a unique specialty store that would become synonymous with fashionable, gracious living.

The combined financial input of these great merchant families led to the purchase of a site between 49th and 50th Streets on upper Fifth Avenue, then jointly occupied by the Democratic Club and the Buckingham Hotel. With the opening of its founders' "dream store" on September 15, 1924, Saks Fifth Avenue became the first large retail operation to locate in what was then primarily a residential district. By offering the finest quality men's and women's fashions, as well as an extraordinary program of customer services, Saks Fifth Avenue has become the byword for taste and elegance.

The Coach Store

Phone: 702.759.3451
Address: 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. So. Las Vegas, NV 89109

Notes: Located at the Fashion Show Mall

More than forty years ago, Coach introduced twelve eloquently simple bag designs with classic, well-balanced proportions. Over the years, we have added a multitude of new shapes, styles and materials, but each collection embodies the same principles of classic design and American style.

Every Coach product embodies the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. Sizes, shapes, pockets and straps are carefully considered to provide maximum efficiency, comfort and convenience. Seams are double-stitched where reinforcement is required. In our glove-tanned pieces, the inside pockets, handles straps and interior bound edges are all made of the same leather to ensure a consistency of color and texture.

Coach selects only the top ten percent of leathers for their tactile quality, strength, character and grain. In the tanning process the untreated leather is rotated for days in large drums where it is softened and enriched with natural treatments drawn from plant extracts, fats and clear aniline dyes. Like fingerprints, no two grain patterns are alike. Our method of slow curing brings the natural markings to the surface, which makes every Coach product original and unique.

His shoes, now sold in stores bearing his name around the world, range in price from about $500 to $2500. They often come with stiletto heels, which can reach as high as five and a half inches, and embellishments like beads or ribbons. The television show Sex and the City mentioned his shoes so often that it helped cement his place in pop culture, and he was said to be the "fifth star" of the show after the show's four lead actresses. Gaultier

Phone: 702.770.3490
Address: 3131 S Las Vegas Blvd. So. Las Vegas, NV 89109

Notes: Located at the Wynn Esplanade

Gaultier never received formal training as a designer. Instead, he started sending sketches to famous couture stylists at an early age. Pierre Cardin was impressed by his talent and hired him as an assistant in 1970.

His first individual collection was released in 1976 and his characteristic irreverent style dates from 1981, and he has long been known as the enfant terrible (bad boy) of French fashion. Many of Gaultier's following collections have been based on street wear, focusing on popular culture, whereas others, particularly his Haute Couture collections, are very formal yet at the same time unusual and playful. Jean-Paul Gaultier produced sculptured costumes for Madonna during the nineties with her infamous cone-bra for her Blond Ambition Tour and designed the wardrobe for her Confessions Tour in 2006, as well. Gaultier has also worked in close collaboration with Wolford Hosiery. He promoted the use of skirts, especially kilts on men's wardrobe, and the release of designer collections.

Gaultier caused shock by using unconventional models for his exhibitions, like older men and full-figured women, pierced and heavily tattooed models, and by playing with traditional gender roles in the shows. This earned him both criticism and enormous popularity.

Gaultier also designed the wardrobe of many motion pictures, including Luc Besson's The Fifth Element, Pedro Almodóvar's Kika, Peter Greenaway's The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's La Cité des enfants perdus (The City of Lost Children). Madonna's Blond Ambition Tour (including the iconic conical bra) also featured his creations. He currently designs for three collections: his own couture and ready-to-wear lines, as well as the newly relaunched clothing line for Hermès, a French leather goods company well-known for their equestrian background, scarves, and expensive and difficult to obtain handbags. Most recently, Jean-Paul Gaultier designed Madonna's wardrobe for her 2006 Confessions Tour, continuing their long-standing relationship.

Gaultier has designed a number of the costumes and outfits worn by rocker Marilyn Manson, including the outfits for Manson's Golden Age of Grotesque album. He's also well-known for his exhibit in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art known as Bravehearts - Men in Skirts. (Source: Wikipedia)

Chanel

Phone: 702.765.5055
Address: 3131 S Las Vegas Blvd. So. Las Vegas, NV 89109

Notes: Located at the Wynn Esplanade.

Chanel revolutionized haute couture fashion by completely replacing the traditional corset with the comfort and casual elegance of simple suits and dresses. She introduced to the world her signature cardigan jacket in 1925 and signature "little black dress" in 1926, introducing a more sultry and seductive definition to "sexy." She had numerous other major successes that changed the fashion industry including the ever popular "'Chanel suit'", an elegant creation composed of a knee-length skirt and trim, boxy jacket, traditionally made of woven wool with black sewing trim and gold buttons, worn with large costume-pearl necklaces. Elite women of high societies around the world began to flock to the now legendary Rue Cambon boutique to commission couture outfits from her. The House of Chanel became an icon of elegance and from then on, the name "Chanel" became synonymous to elegance, wealth, and elitism, as well as the ultimate sign of French high class, la coquetterie.

After No. 5, Coco Chanel's fashions became even more well-known and were purchased by the high flyers of London and Paris society alike. Chanel took to living at the Hôtel Ritz Paris, and her suite of residence has become famous and is now named the "Coco Chanel Suite."

Chanel is also known for its quilted fabric which also has a "secret" quilting pattern sewn at the back to keep the material strong. This material is used for clothing and accessories alike. The brand is now headed by German-born designer Karl Lagerfeld, who had previously designed for the House of Fendi, where his most memorable achievement was the creation of the signature "FF" logo print (referred to as Zucca) commonly used on handbags. From Nanette Lepore--

"Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Nanette produced her first couture look at the tender age of nine outfitting a neighbor in a floral bedspread, beaded choker and face paint. The girl posed in the family's front yard behind a hand-lettered sign declaring "Lepore," and thus began Nanette's lifelong interest in fashion.

Sensing young Nanette's entrepreneurial talent, her parents encouraged her creativity. After all, artistic innovation flourished naturally in a household headed by an abstract painter-father and a fabulously stylish mother of four. Road tripping on Route 66 with her bohemian parents each summer instilled in Nanette a free spirit and a taste for travel.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Youngstown University, she packed her bags and headed east to New York City's venerable Fashion Institute of Technology. She aced her degree in design, married painter Robert Savage and set out to pay her dues in design studios around town.

However, Nanette knew she wouldn't be satisfied until her creations bore her own name. In 1992, bolstered by a $5,000 loan from her dad to strike out on her own, Nanette set up shop in a penthouse office in the garment district. It quickly became an incubator for poets and painters who would bounce ideas off one another while stargazing on the roof.

Today Nanette designs in her atelier in New York City alongside her husband, Robert, who helms the business side of the worldwide brand as its President. Nanette enjoys a strong following among editors, chic style-makers and celebrities including Hilary Swank, Sarah Jessica Parker and Eva Longoria. Suitable for a tea at The Ritz or a night out on the town, each collection balances feminine details with a seductive sensibility.

The Nanette Lepore brand extends to two complete fragrance lines, "Nanette Lepore" and the latest, "Shanghai Butterfly." In Fall 2006, Nanette's first comprehensive shoe collection will launch internationally.

There are currently six Nanette Lepore boutiques worldwide, in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, Tokyo and London. Nanette resides in Manhattan's West Village with her husband and daughter, Violet, age eight"

Salvatore Ferragamo--Men's and women's quality shoes and accessories.

From the company website--

"For Salvatore Ferragamo, fashion and culture have always been closely linked. In California in the Twenties, when he started making shoes for Hollywood, the young Salvatore immediately grasped how much the worlds of fashion and culture had in common in terms of history and creativity. He also realized the enormous communication
potential they would gain through co-operation.

In the Thirties, back in Italy, Salvatore commissioned the late-Futurist painter LUCIO VENNA to produce sketches of his shoes for advertising, and in the Fifties came collaboration with the famous artist PIETRO ANNIGONI, who had painted his portrait in 1949 and was to design the Palazzo Spini Feroni logo. Throughout his career, Salvatore Ferragamo was always looking to contemporary artists for inspiration and ideas.

Today, when interaction between fashion, culture and contemporary art is a fact of life, the Company bearing Salvatore Ferragamo's name continues to follow the intuition of its founder and supports initiatives in these sectors with fervent interest and considerable resources. In 1999 it won the GUGGENHEIM ENTERPRISE AND CULTURE PRIZE, awarded each year to the companies, world-wide, which invest most successfully in culture.

The Group's cultural activities orbit around two main poles of attraction: the Salvatore
Ferragamo Museum and the art galleries in the major flagship stores. "
