Description:
Menopause The Musical is a true phenomenon; the Las Vegas production is one of 11 permanent shows in the US that have sprung out of a show that was originally performed in 2001 to an Orlando, FL theater that seated only 76. Its focus on a common theme has made it a sell-out hit everywhere it has played, including the Las Vegas Hilton.

From the Las Vegas Hilton site:

Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, Writer/Producer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived "The Change." Since its first performance, the show has evolved as a "grassroots" movement of women who deal with life after 40 and all the challenges that result in the mental, physical and spiritual freedom of the post-World War II baby boomer generation.

According to The New York Times, "[Menopause The Musical] has no trouble winning over its audience...because elsewhere the subject is almost never treated with humor from the woman's point of view."

Description:
Husband and wife team Marty Allen and Karon Kate Blackwell combine the comedic talents of Allen ('Ed Sullivan Show', 'Hollywood Squares') with the music of Blackwell, an accomplished singer and pianist.

From the Gold Coast site:

Comedian Marty Allen and singer, songwriter and straight woman Karon Kate are still one of the best comedy/straight routines in the entertainment industry. When you see the show, you will see that he is the Marty Allen of 40 years ago.

One of the reasons for the success of their show is its spontaneity. "Karon has no idea each show what I'm going to say or do. Even the parts that I write, I try to keep fresh. I constantly add new lines so the routines aren't the same," says Marty.

One of Karon's most popular songs is Wedding Wows. It became so popular, she recorded an album and included the song. Her first album, titled simply Karon Kate Blackwell, included Wedding Wows and several familiar songs such as ode To Billie Joe and God Bless The U.S.A. One single, I Can't Laugh was a Cashbox 'pick of the week' selection in August 1994.

Both Marty and Karon say that when they are on stage, they don't think about the fact that they are married. Rather, they just focus on each other's talents. There's a natural dynamic and chemistry whey they perform. Just what keeps Marty going at 85 years old? Duracell batteries, says Karon.

The Producers is now open at Paris Las Vegas! See the Mel Brooks musical comedy that won more awards than any show in history, with the biggest sets, costumes and laughs.

The Producers will feature David Hasselhoff in the role of the outrageously flamboyant Roger DeBris. Best known for his roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch, Hasselhoff has also had a successful recording career and acclaimed stage performances in Chicago and Jekyll & Hyde.

The Producers will also star Brad Oscar as scheming, down-on-his-luck Max Bialystock. Oscar has previously played this role on Broadway and on London's West End, and in fact, has played Max in over 1100 performances - more than anyone else in the show's history. He's also appeared on Broadway in Aspects of Love, Jekyll and Hyde and Forbidden Broadway.

Also reprising their roles from the Broadway and West End productions of The Producers are Larry Raben as Leo Bloom and the lovely Leigh Zimmerman as Ulla.

Sure to be the funniest show in Las Vegas, Monty Python's SPAMALOT tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail. John O'Hurley from "Seinfeld" and "Dancing with the Stars" fame stars as King Arthur.

Monty Python's SPAMALOT opened in New York and London to rave reviews from
audiences and critics alike. The London Sunday Times said SPAMALOT "raises silliness to an art form - glorious, irresistible silliness!"

Winner of the prestigious Tony Award for Best New Musical, SPAMALOT is written by
Eric Idle (Monty Python). The Grammy Award-winning musical score and lyrics were
created by Eric Idle and John Du Prez (pronounced Doo Pray). The show is directed by Mike Nichols.

The album, which featured fan favorite songs "Letter to My Penis" and "Fred," sold more than 475,000 copies and established Rodney, with his trademark black cowboy hat, boots, and Texas twang, as the king of middle class comedy.

The next few years saw four more Top 10 albums: "Live", "Morning Wood", "Nutsack" and "Greatest Hits", all of which continue to receive major radio airplay on both country and rock formats. "Greatest Hits," a double CD, earned a RIAA certified Gold Record and is well on its way to Platinum. His major network comedy, "Rodney," ran on ABC from 2004-2006.

'Larry G. Jones', by Chuck Rounds - iGoShows.com
What people are saying - TripAdvisor.com

"His mannerisms and vocalizations are dead-on, it is his comical parodies that set him apart. Unlike most impressionists Jones can readily switch his voice from men to women and back again" - Las Vegas Senior Press

"Jones not only delivers terrific impressions, his comedic talent is well-timed and physically impressive. He's got the sound, facial expressions, the moves - and the talent - to easily fill a larger room. His parody of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire is hilarious; likewise Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson. His duet between Nat King Cole and daughter Natalie Cole is awesome. He's a rare late afternoon delight. A must see!." - EVegas.net

Check out the Purple Reign website to find show dates and times at other Vegas venues, including Monte Carlo.

Purple Reign began at the small but then popular UNLV college club Tom & Jerry's in the summer of 1997. Front man Jason Tenner formed the group with high school band-mates Jason Underwood (bassist) and Brent Wheeler (guitarist) after dressing as Prince for a Halloween party at the Hard Rock Hotel-Casino the previous year. " People's reactions were crazy!" recalls Tenner. "They kept wanting pictures, asking where I was performing and how they could get tickets! It was wild!"

2007 will see more growth as the show has plans to add an "Appolonia" character, with supporting cast, and continue to expand their vision of paying tribute to one of the greatest artists of our time!

For over 30 years Elton John been a pop icon, with hits like Candle In The Wind, Rocket Man, and The Bitch Is Back building his reputation as a worldwide favorite. Now he's returning to Caesars Palace for a limited engagement.

From the Caesars Palace site:

He has survived the ups and downs of musical stardom for over 30 years. Commercially, creatively, on stage and on record, Elton John is a legendary artist -- one who is still as relevant as ever.

Elton John's finely honed stage presence, a winning factor in targeting his tunes straight into the heart of America, is excess incarnate. In The Red Piano, the showy costumes are replaced by incredible video imagery and stage props, yet the end result is unmistakably classic Elton John.

Gregarious, show-stopping, outlandish and unforgettable. Words that could be Elton John as much as they are Vegas. Together with photographer David LaChapelle, Elton John has created The Red Piano -- a career overview performance you won't soon forget.

The Red Piano takes the audience inside Elton John's world. LaChapelle creates a dreamscape dripping with rich imagery of Hollywood and Las Vegas icons -- each moment created to give the viewer a new, three dimensional interpretation of Elton John and Bernie Taupin's most memorable recordings.

Please note that The Red Piano is designed with a Vegas theme and mature audiences in mind. The video imagery that accompanies the music may at times be considered risqué, and includes montage style scenes that include brief frontal nudity. The Video content is designed within the context of the songs and overall theme of the show.
