Local Facts and Figures

Las Vegas, a world class destination for millions of vacationers offering something for everyone from the family on a budget to the high roller that bets millions on every roll of the dice or turn of the card. Our specialty is providing everyone a memorable vacation and holiday so you will come back to see us again and again. The city of Las Vegas is continually reinventing itself with major properties opening every few months. Our history is usually reduced to a pile of rubble in the flash of a theatrically staged implosion and a few months later a grand, billion dollar hotel will appear on the property. Vacationers have to visit often just to keep up with the latest changes in old favorites and new properties. The average cost for a Vegas hotel project is now well over a billion dollars with the Wynn project, scheduled to open in April of 2005, topping out at $2.4 billion. Donald Trump recently announced plans to build the tallest building in Nevada, Trump Towers Nevada, a golden monolith rising 65 stories above the strip. All of the mega-hotels that have opened recently are themed properties with a distinctive style running throughout the property. You can choose from an exotic Tropical Island, Old Castle, Egyptian Pyramid, Pirates, Italian Villa, a Circus, New York, Paris, Venice, Arabia, New Orleans, Rio, Oz and more. When you want to explore beyond the strip there is historic downtown Las Vegas where it all started or the rapidly developing Boulder Strip. No trip to Las Vegas is complete without side trips to local points of interest. Within an easy drive of the city is beautiful Red Rock State Park, cool Mount Charleston, famous Boulder Dam, the wild Colorado River, Lake Mead, historic Boulder City, photogenic Valley of Fire State Park, notorious Death Valley and a little farther up the Colorado River is the Grand Canyon.

Las Vegas continues to bask in its own economic glow independent of national or world problems; so, the lights are always on, the spirits are always high and a good time is always available. Las Vegas is a great place to forget all the problems and recharge your life, one of the few places in the world designed and dedicated to adult fun.
