2011 WSOP Main Event Down to Three

Sometime in the early morning hours on Wednesday the 2011 WSOP Main Event should finally deal the final hand and crown a world’s poker champion.  Three players remain in the quest for poker’s most sought after world championship bracelet, $8,715,638 in cash and the bragging rights as the top poker player of 2011.  Second place will receive $5,433,086 and third place will have to settle for $4,021,138.

A total of 693 entrants paid $10,000 for a seat in the main event and built a prize pool of $64,540,858 of which $18,169,862 goes to the following final three players:

Pius Heinz, 22-year-old from Cologne, Germany

Ben Lamb, 26-year-old from Las Vegas and Tulsa Oklahoma

Martin Staszko, 35-year-old from Trinec, Chech Republic

Cards will be in the air at 9 PM ET from the Rio Resort in Las Vegas.  ESPN will broadcast the event near-live (15 minute delay) with visible hole cards on ESPN and ESPN3.
