LADIES DAY AT THE 2009 WSOP

In her first ever live poker tournament Lisa Hamilton came away with $195,390 and one of poker’s most valued collectables, a gold World Series of Poker bracelet. Going into heads-up play Hamilton had an almost 3 to 1 chip lead which she used to end the match in two hands. The final table of nine ladies was over and gone in less than four hours. Lisa Hamilton will be taking all that money and bling back home to Hawaii.

Lori Bender finished second for $120,575 and Mari Lou Morelli completed the top three to receive $78,132. The ladies only event seated 1,060 entrants while collecting a prize pool of $964,600 paid out to the first 117 finishers. Congratulations to Lisa Hamilton for her victory and all the ladies that carried away some of that cash.
