The Cosmopolitan to offer fake weddings

At the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan, more and more on the cusp of original ideas, will soon install an indoor “Pop-Up Wedding Chapel,” where you can pose with your betrothed amidst an audience of tourists while floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the Las Vegas Strip.

You’ll be able to do all things wedding-related (legal or just for fun), including renewing vows, making vows, faux weddings, commitment ceremonies, or getting your pets married.  Think of those tea parties you had as a kid, or when you forced Barbie & Ken to walk down the aisle.  Now you can play with that wedding dream in front of real live witnesses.

The cost runs from $80 to $195, with an extra $90 if you want it by the book.  Though we’re not sure if getting your pets married would be legally binding.

The Pop-Up Wedding Chapel is set to open Dec. 28.

Britney Spears, take note!

(We kid Ms. Spears, because she just got engaged in Las Vegas over the weekend.  Congrats, Brit!)
